Beginning on  Tuesday, September 15, 2020 the Prothonotary will resume accepting ROUTINE Passport applications by APPOINTMENT ONLY at the Doylestown office.

The Upper and Lower Bucks Government Services Centers Prothonotary Counters remain closed.

Applicants that are not traveling for 10 weeks or more, that can also produce all required identification, photos and prepared forms may make an appointment by calling 215-348-6185.  Please note that we cannot accept walk-in applicants or applications for expedited passport service at this time. Please do not sign your application until asked to do so during your appointment.

Visitors to the Justice Center must 1) Wear a mask at all times in public locations; 2) Stay at least six (6) feet away from others; and 3) follow the procedures as outlined in Emergency Order #15.

Passport Renewal

Renewal forms are available at the Prothonotary Office in the Bucks County Courthouse and at the Government Service Centers in Levittown & Quakertown. To download an application form click here.

If you meet the following conditions then you must renew your passport by mail:

  • You can submit your most recent passport.
  • You were at least 16 years old when your most recent passport was issued.
  • You were issued your most recent passport less than 15 years ago.
  • You use the same name as on your most recent passport or have had your name changed by marriage or court order and can submit the proper documentation to reflect your name change.
