 POSITION SUMMARY:

Senior management position.  Responsible for coordination, clinical supervision and administration of the Drug and Alcohol program at both the prison and minimum-security Community Corrections Centers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for administration of all alcohol and other drug treatment services for Department of Corrections.
  • Provides supervision of case management, clinical and support staff.
  • Conducts clinical evaluations and provides appropriate reports as ordered by Court of Common Pleas.
  • Conducts assessments, as needed by other criminal justice and treatment agencies.
  • Designs, develops, and implements clinical programming appropriate to setting.
  • Responsible for development and administration of budgets.
  • Seeks and completes grant applications, as necessary.
  • Responsible for completion of all required reports to department and other monitoring agencies.
  • Responsible for ongoing development and monitoring of a quality assurance plan.
  • Develops clinical case plans for the provision of treatment services inside and outside of the institutional environment that are sensitive to criminal justice requirements.
  • Acts as a liaison with clinical care providers and funding sources.
  • Represents department in speaking engagements and conferences regarding addictions and criminal justice issues.
  • Performs similar duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Master's Degree preferred in social or behavioral sciences and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, or Human Services from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of three year’s clinical experience in alcohol and other drug treatment services.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical and administrative supervisory experience.
  • Some background in criminal justice philosophy preferred.
  • Experience in grant writing and management preferred.
  • Knowledge of reporting requirement of monitoring agencies.
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Minimum of five years’ sobriety for recovering applicants.
  • Must clear criminal background check.
