POSITION SUMMARY:

Infor Lawson ERP software solution purchased by the County is used by all departments for Personnel, Payroll, Financials, Budgeting and Procurement.  The administrator is responsible for the health and maintenance of the system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

System/Environment

  • Install patches/cyclical/upgrades to the Lawson Environment and Applications
  • Create/Assign system user ids and passwords
  • Monitor/maintain file systems and directories
  • Maintain log files, database log files, print files and work files
  • Monitor users home directories
  • Ability to create RDBMS instances and ongoing maintenance (product lines)
  • Install patches/upgrade to Landmark system

Web Server

  • Creating and maintaining users and passwords in the WEB server
  • Administration of the Lawson LOGAN engine, WEBUSERS, roles and tasks
  • Install patches/cyclical/upgrades of the Lawson WEB based applications

    Production/Batch

  • Monitoring execution of batch programs
  • Resolving issues with batch operations

    Ancillary Systems – (MHC and BSI Tax Factory)

  • Install patches/cyclical/upgrades
  • Define printers
  • Create/Assign user ids and passwords
  • MHC DSS support
  • Communication between department members of server status.
  • Identify source of intermittent issues or questions, and escalate as necessary.
  • Acts as technical liaison to vendors.

Other duties maybe assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer training program or equivalent experience.
  • Possess working knowledge of the following platforms: Windows workstation; Windows server operating systems; as we well as applications: Websphere and SQL.
  • General office skills and typing required.
  • Communications skills, attention to detail and a working knowledge of computer systems are required.
