Shenk, of Hilltown Township, brings more than 18 years of experience in the county court system to her new post. She was hired by the Bucks County Adult Probation Department in September 2000, initially serving as a Probation Officer. She was promoted to Supervisor in 2009, and, since 2017, had served as Deputy Chief.

Shenk was previously an instructor with University of Maryland University College’s criminal justice program, is an active volunteer with Grandview Hospital’s Hospice Program, and is a private pilot.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from University of Alabama.

“I’m very proud of this department and I look forward to continuing our work of serving the Court and County of Bucks by providing effective supervision to probationers and parolees with the utmost integrity and professionalism, while maintaining officer and community safety and helping to make victims whole,” Shenk said.

As Chief Adult Probation Officer, she will oversee a department of 83 staff members who are responsible for nearly 11,000 individuals on probation and parole.
